Creating a more caring community for people and pets.
CARE Programs
We accept the homeless, abused, neglected, injured, and surrendered animals of St. Louis into our care, so they will be safe and loved until they can be adopted into loving homes.
In 2022, we admitted 2,885 homeless animals.
We provide all the animals that come into our care with safety, veterinary care, food, water, and enrichment to take care of their physical, emotional, and mental health until they are adopted into loving homes.
In 2022, we took care of 3,012 animals in the shelter.
We provide off-site, no-cost or low-cost microchipping and vaccination services in under-resourced communities.
In 2021, we held three off-site clinics that served 313 pets and administered 626 vaccines and 143 microchips.
We provide pet guardians with free or low-cost services that enable loved pets to remain in their homes, e.g., food distribution, securing yards, low-cost microchipping, temporary protective custody, and TNR.
